Bank robberies might seem like the stuff of Wild West movies, but they're actually a modern-day problem as well. You work in a place with a lot of money, during a time in which people feel angry and jilted because they don't have enough of it. Yes, bank robberies have declined—by 35% since 2009—but nearly 3,500 commercial banks are robbed per year.

And despite talk surrounding the shift from physical robberies towards cyber robberies, the case remains that more than a quarter of bank robberies involve guns (source). In 2011, eighty-eight people were injured and thirteen died during bank robberies. Statistically, the chance of you being injured is very low...but it's there nonetheless.
