Glory
Depends on how you look at it. If you're looking at the day-to-day, then this gig has all the glory of a cowboy on a real-life cattle drive. The brain may be super cool and fun to think about, but in reality, you spend most of your time poking and pushing and prodding and inspecting the rest of the human body. Which can be pretty gross.
But you work to save human lives. Just when you start fantasizing about how much nicer it would be to become a hunter-gatherer in the Amazonian forests, one of your six-trillion patients' family members will give you a hug. For an entire thirty seconds, you'll remember why you do this job.
