Scholarship Qualifications
Tough split, guys. (Get it? Get it?) Bowling scholarships are only offered to women in the NCAA—and there aren't that many of them. (We mean scholarships, not women.)
A typical team roster is between 8 and 10 players, and there's a limit of five scholarships given out per Division-I or -II team (no scholarships for Division III). However, bowling is an equivalency sport. This means that a Division-I team could select 10 players and award each one of them a partial scholarship (source).
The good news: if you make it onto a Division-I or -II team, you've got a decent shot at receiving some scholarship money. The bad news: it's very, very hard to make it onto a Division-I or -II team.
