Famous Athletes
Tiger Woods. Eldrick Tont Woods (his real name) played at Stanford University before becoming the world's second most famous "Tiger" (after Tony the).
Phil Mickelson. Before his long and successful professional career, "Lefty" was a star golfer at Arizona State, winning three Haskins Awards. He was the top college golfer in the country from 1990 to 1992. No one else has even won two Haskins since. Not bad, Phil.
Bubba Watson. This two-time Masters champion and notorious goofball started out as a Junior College All-American at Faulkner State Community College. Then he transferred to the University of Georgia. More importantly, he started the Golf Boys, a boy band with fellow PGA Tour golfers Ben Crane, Hunter Mahan, and…Rickie Fowler.
Rickie Fowler. In addition to offering his swagger to the Golf Boys, this Oklahoma State grad is the top young gun in the American game today.
Stacy Lewis. This winner of the British Open and former LPGA Tour player of the year started out playing collegiately at the University of Arkansas. Impressive, no?
Angela Stanford. A four-time All-American at Texas Christian University, Stanford has remained a major player on the LPGA tour since her graduation in 2000. Let's hear it for the ladies.
