You started on your high school indoor varsity team for two seasons, but that was mostly because you were really tall. It was easy when you just had to stand by the net and get in the way of shots. Unfortunately, the sand game requires a little more athleticism and a lot of finesse.

Height: 5'10", GPA: 2.7

You've had a fair amount of success indoors, but you've only recently decided to transition to the sand. You can jump, pass, and spike decently well, but you're still learning the nuances of the game. You even have a personal coach to help you with this transition. Your chances of making a sand volleyball team would be pretty good if your GPA wasn't low.

Height: 5'8", GPA: 3.4

You were the MVP for both your high school indoor team and the local USAV junior league. You practice with a personal coach every week. You're a little undersized for the sand, but no one can doubt your athleticism and will to win. Keep working and studying hard, and you might have a shot.

Height: 6'1", GPA: 3.6

You're a monster indoors, outdoors, and in the classroom. You've been making recruiting tapes of yourself since you were fifteen years old…and college coaches have been watching them. As an indoor and outdoor California state volleyball champion, even Misty May-Treanor knows who you are. You must be doing something right.
