To be blunt, college volleyball players aren't the most famous athletes.

You already knew that, though. You don't see talking heads on ESPN shout at each other about which volleyball team is best. You don't read headlines about the latest misadventures of top volleyball players. You don't see endless tweets criticizing them for their performances or making fun of their off-court exploits.

Actually, when you put it that way, it might be a good thing.

If you're looking for celebrity status, you should probably think of some other sport…like basketball, or Starcraft.

You might be able to achieve some B-Level status by leading your country's team to an Olympic victory, but even that's a longshot. But who knows—maybe you'll grow up to be the first volleyball star with their own reality show. A kid can dream, right?
