Aladdin Scene 24 Summary

  • Everyone realizes that Aladdin is actually a genius as Jafar's evil spells all reverse themselves.
  • The Genie tosses Jafar's lamp back toward the Cave of Wonders. Should take about 10,000 years for someone to find him.
  • Things are back to normal.
  • Aladdin tells Jasmine he's sorry that he lied. It's cool, Jasmine still loves him. Too bad she can't marry him, though. She can only marry a prince. Bummer.
  • The Genie is real choked up about it. He tells Aladdin to use his last wish to make himself a prince again. Problem solved. You think a love like this comes along every day?
  • Aladdin does love Jasmine, but he can't keep pretending to be someone that he's not. He's gotta do him.
  • So Aladdin turns to the Genie and makes his last wish. He wishes that the Genie were free.
  • The Genie is pretty shocked and excited. He's free. Woohoo. He also realizes that Aladdin has given up his chance to be with his true love to honor his promise to him.
  • No, we're not crying. You're crying.
  • The Sultan is watching all this, and he realizes that it's a bit ridiculous. Aladdin is a stand-up guy, so why on earth is this law keeping him from marrying the princess?
  • The Sultan suddenly decides that he's the monarch around here, he makes the rules, and Jasmine can marry anyone she likes.
  • Wow, so this could have been a really short movie if the dude had realized that about an hour ago.
  • Anyway, this late-breaking legal news is great. Jasmine and Aladdin are getting married (again). The Genie is free and shoots off into the sky to explore the world on his own.
  • In the final scene of the movie, Jasmine and Aladdin sing a reprise of "A Whole New World" as they float on Carpet and fireworks go off.
  • Best honeymoon ever.
