- Meanwhile, back inside the palace, the Sultan is still fuming. So, who can he turn to for help? His most trusted advisor, Jafar, of course.
- Say what? Yup. The creepy guy from the beginning of the movie works for the Sultan and is actually pretty good at manipulating him.
- Jafar tells the Sultan that he can help him with his Jasmine problem…he just needs to borrow the Sultan's mystic blue diamond.
- For good measure, Jafar uses his snake staff to hypnotize the Sultan to get him to obey. We're not sure that Jafar even needed to bother. The Sultan doesn't seem like the sharpest knife in the drawer to begin with.
- The Sultan immediately hands over his diamond ring, and Jafar releases him from the trance before walking away
- Iago tells us how much hates the Sultan, but Jafar urges his angry bird to be patient. Soon Jafar will be the sultan.
