Malachy McCourt Jr.

Malachy Jr. is Frank's little bro and we often see them together at the beginning of the memoir. Frank and Malachy Jr. make a great team, especially when they're trying to find ways to take care of the family. Malachy, as the younger brother, isn't burdened by the responsibilities Frankie feels, so he's a charming, sweet buddy who can make life easier for Frank.
