Dennis (Denny) Swift Timeline & Summary

Denny meets and adopts Enzo. Then he meets and adopts Eve—and by "adopts," we mean "marries".
Zoë is born about nine months later.
Things go well for a while, until Zoë is about four, and then Eve's migraines and mood swings indicate that she has a tumor. The tumor turns into cancer, which turns into no more Eve.
Then things go downhill for Denny, what with the custody battle and rape charges and the selling his house and Enzo getting hit by a car and on and on and on.
Seriously, did this guy walk into a room full of funhouse mirrors with a sledgehammer?
Fortunately for Denny, there are bright spots. Enzo serves as an ever-helpful and caring companion during these many tribulations, and Luca Pantoni swoops in with the job offer of a lifetime to save Denny from his troubles and get his life back on track.
Denny's court hearing goes well. Annika drops her charges, and Denny gets his life and his daughter back.
It seems that all is finally well again, except that Denny can't take Enzo with him. He realizes this and lets Enzo go.
Denny and Enzo most likely meet again in Italy, which is either reincarnation magic or the result of a complete coincidence and an Italian father who also liked the name Enzo. But since we like to believe in magic and happy endings, we're going to go with the former.
