Jim

It's weird to think that Jim can be a mentor to Bart, since Jim is a washed up, alcoholic gunfighter. But Jim often provides some (ironically) sober second opinions to Bart whenever Bart gets a little too confident in his ability to win over the people of Rock Ridge.

For Jim, the people of Rock Ridge are a bunch of racist hicks who'll never change. Now that's not to say that Jim's perspective is a kind one… but it is a fair one. Oh yeah, and it doesn't hurt that he saves Bart's life one or two times with his sharpshooting skills.
