Kendra

This one's a no-brainer—we see most of the action from Kendra's perspective, and we're rooting for her to save the day. And guess what? She does. We get to watch her evolve from someone who's conservative about maintaining rules and keeping order, to someone who risks her life to try to save her family from certain death and destruction. She's scared to ask the Fairy Queen for help, but she goes through with it anyway:

The moment of truth had arrived. When she set foot on the island, either she would transform into a cloud of dandelion fluff and float away, or she wouldn't. (17.67)

Kendra's actions are definitely heroic, and we're happy to note that she does not, in fact, transform into a cloud of dandelion fluff. Instead we get to see her rescue everyone, which is pretty cool. That's what protagonists do, right?
