- Now the kids are meeting with Ollivander, and they're asking him if a wand they've acquired is safe to use. It's Bellatrix's, so that's a smart question.
- He says to be careful when using it.
- Then the have another wand they want to run by him: Draco Malfoy's.
- Or rather, it used to be Draco's. Ollivander seems to think that its allegiance may have changed, since Harry won it from him. Ollivander explains that the wand chooses the wizard.
- Harry asks about the Deathly Hallows, and Ollivander is familiar with the story and even gives us a nice little recap (for those of us who needed a reminder—clever, David Yates).
- Harry asks Ollivander if he believes in the Hallows, and the wandmaker says he "sees no reason" to believe that stuff, but Harry isn't buying it. He thinks Ollivander does believe in the Hallows—and that he told Voldemort about them.
- Ollivander basically admits that Harry's right. He defends himself by reminding Harry that Voldemort tortured him. And besides, Ollivander asserts, there's no way that Voldemort could ever find the one Hallow that would interest him: the Elder Wand.
- Unfortunately, thanks to his weird telepathic connection with the Dark Lord, Harry knows that Ollivander is wrong and that Voldemort has found the Elder Wand already. Ollivander tells him to watch out, then—and says that Harry really doesn't have a chance against Voldemort, if Harry is right about the Elder Wand.
- Oh, cheerful.
