- Later, Harry stops by Professor Umbridge's office for his detention. She announces that he'll be writing lines, but with a special quill.
- Harry starts to write the words "I must not tell lies" over and over again when he notices that the quill is not only writing on the paper but carving the words into his hand. Sick.
- Professor Umbridge is creepily pleased by this.
- She wants to know if Harry has anything to say to her. When he refuses to talk she tells him that it's because deep down he knows he deserves to be punished.
- This lady is a Grade-A psycho.
- Back in the Gryffindor common room Fred and George are testing products for their joke shop.
- Hermione and Ron also notice the scars on Harry's hand and tell him he needs to report this torture to Dumbledore. We agree on this one. There has to be something in the school rules against teachers maiming students.
- Harry refuses. Dumbledore has enough to deal with and he doesn't want to give Umbridge the satisfaction of knowing she got to him.
- Besides, Ron and Hermione just don't understand.
