- That night at dinner, the members of the Order show Harry a copy of The Daily Prophet. There are front-page stories claiming that Harry and Dumbledore are lying about Voldemort being back.
- Harry's pretty ticked about this fake news.
- Lupin explains that it's the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, who's trying to keep the truth underground. He's afraid of what will happen if Voldemort is really back, so he just keeps telling everyone that all is well. Yikes.
- Sirius tells Harry that Voldemort is building up an army like he did the last time he was in power, but that he's also looking for something that he didn't have last time.
- At this, Mrs. Weasley cuts him off. Harry is clearly not supposed to hear this info.
- But, Harry is not having it. He wants to join the Order of the Phoenix. If Voldemort's getting an army together, then Harry wants to be right there on the front lines standing again him.
- Sirius is pretty proud.
