If you're still not convinced that Jellicoe Road isn't entirely based around Taylor's story, you might want to read the book again. Seriously. The protagonist of a story is usually the person who changes the most, and that's definitely Taylor, who goes from being a shy, bitter, disconnected teenager unaware of who she is to a loving, compassionate young woman who embraces her newfound family (not to mention all those annoying seventh graders in her House).
