Character Analysis
The Moffats are a wealthy local family with whom the older March girls sometimes socialize. When Meg goes to stay with the Moffat girls for a party, she is enchanted by their wealth and enjoys living the high life with them. However, in spite of their wealth and advantages, the Moffats are foolish people who don't seem to have any strong values or beliefs. They represent the thoughtless, immoral society that the Marches opt out of.
