From the first time he meets her, Jim Dixon is totally undone by and obsessed with Christine. She's got a serious strike against her, though: she's dating Bertrand Welch, so Jim assumes she's got some major character flaws. But as Jim gets to know her, he's impressed by more than just her looks. When she helps him hide Mrs. Welch's burned sheets, he sees her adventurous side. From that moment on, Jim decides that not only is Christine better looking than Margaret; she's cooler, too.
