  • Steve can't sleep, and he feels like if he does, he'll die. That's some serious stress.
  • He can't think of anything but the case, and he's already planning his appeal.
  • He thinks about Petrocelli's comment: "Steve Harmon made a moral decision" (19.3). It eats him up. What decision is she talking about? He can't figure it out.
  • He's consumed with the case and his movie bouncing in his head.
  • In the movie, he imagines himself saying, "A getover? I don't do getovers. […] I don't do tightropes, moral or otherwise" (19.4).
