Em is sorely in need of some parental guidance when Count de Villeforte steps in and tells her what's up. No, she can't marry the dude who (supposedly) gambled his life away and landed in a Parisian prison. Yes, she needs to spend as much time as possible at Chateau-le-Blanc, soaking in all the goodness of the de Villeforte family. It's good that someone's looking out for Em, but we think she can stand on her own two feet just fine.
