- Two news reporters come to see what the all the hype is about and ask to take a look around; one of them spots the claw stick, and takes a couple of pictures of it.
- The morning after the Exit 8 Big Top Mall makes the 5:00PM news, protestors carrying signs appear in the parking lot.
- Ivan can't read the signs, but it looks like it has something to do with Ruby. Fingers crossed.
- Ivan overhears Julia telling her dad that some of the signs are calling for the mall to be shut down.
- Mack feels like he shouldn't be the target of the protests, and when a man from an unknown agency comes to inspect the place and take notes, Mack senses that things aren't going to work out in his favor.
- The people in the parking lot multiply and now Free Ruby signs are everywhere. Ruby is confused, but Ivan assures her that they're not mad at her.
- Mack is presented with a notice, and retreats to his office to be alone.
