- The CSI team shows up to go over the place, and they have some crazy news: no fingerprints.
- Somerset is going through one of the 2,000—two thousand—notebooks. They're filled with crazy, terrible, sensational writing.
- A phone rings.
- Mills answers it.
- It's Kevin Spacey. "I admire you," he says.
- He apologizes for hurting him and says he would say more, but he doesn't want to "ruin the surprise." That doesn't sound good.
- The cop goes back to searching the apartment, and Mills agrees that the killer is preaching. Somerset says, "These murders are his sermons to us." Hallelujah? More like hallelu-no.
