Confusing. Just kidding.
The structure of this novel is a little confusing, and it might take your brain a minute to shift gears as the point of view shifts around and the plot leaps from character to character. The structure is fast-paced, unique, and fits the subject matter—the lives of teenage girls—pretty perfectly.
The style really isn't confusing once you settle into it, though, and the language is kept nice and simple (be sure to read up about tone in the "Analysis" section), which makes each section easy to follow once you orient yourself. So while the book might seem a little daunting at first, stick with it and we think you'll find that with a little patience, just like the teenage girls it's about, it's actually pretty easy to get to know.
