Frank, Vaughan

Karl has bumbled through life without any sort of guide or mentor, unless you count God as one. But God isn't speaking to Karl—the big guy just leaves Karl to do his best to try and interpret scripture on his own. Karl is influenced by the thoughts, opinions, and actions of Frank and Vaughan, though. It's through them, for example, that Karl learns that it might be okay to kill Doyle. We're not sure whether or not Frank and Vaughan understand how seriously Karl takes their opinions.
