Patriarchy/The Man

There's no one character who stands as the villain of The Female Man. In this novel, the bad guy is patriarchy itself. It's true that we encounter a lot of male characters who are terrible human beings, but if there's one Big Bad in this book, it's the set of social norms that say it's okay for those men to act the way they do.
