The Paladin Prophecy Chapter 3: The Test Summary

How It All Goes Down

  • Dr. Robbins puts a tablet on the table.
  • But it's not just a regular tablet. It grows in size until it covers the whole tabletop. This must be the new iPad Stretch.
  • Dr. Robbins asks Will a variety of mundane questions about his family and himself.
  • With his hands on the tablet as if it were a lie detector, Will answers.
  • At the end of the survey, the tablet scrapes his palms, and it hurts a little. Weird.
  • Finally, Dr. Robbins asks Will if he's bored at school.
  • Yawn. He is.
  • Dr. Robbins presents him with a scholarship to The Center for Integrated Learning, the most unimaginatively named secret boarding school for young geniuses in the country.
  • For some reason, the place is in Wisconsin. Geniuses get all the best cheese.
  • Dr. Robbins tells Will he can think about it, and Will leaves with his mother.
  • However, Will feels like his mother is a different person. Creepy.
