Tilja

Tilja's the leading lady of The Ropemaker. She heads out on a journey to find Faheel with her family and friends, thinking she has no magic to speak of—but as it turns out, she's the only one who can help Faheel destroy the Watchers and bring safety to the Valley.

Tilja works with Faheel to find the Ropemaker and make sure that he assumes Faheel's powers—and to ensure that the Valley ends up nice and safe. She's initially reluctant to leave the family home, which will be her sister Anja's one day because of Anja's magic, but over time realizes that she has found a place of her own in the world.

In short, Tilja is the one we root for in The Ropemaker. She's our main girl, the one we worry over and cheer on the whole way through.
