Moses "Mo" LoBeau

Scrappy little Mo is just eleven years old, but she's definitely the star of this book. The entire story is told from her perspective, and she's far from a bystander to all the action. When a murderer comes to town and Mo's adopted parents go missing, she throws herself into the search. Danger? Mo laughs in the face of danger… and she comes out of her great adventure unscathed, too. Which is good, because we root for her the entire time.
