Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Scene 16 Summary

  • Eddie decides to pay Maroon a visit, saying that he found Acme's will.
  • He asks Roger to wait for him, and beep the horn twice if Eddie is in trouble.
  • Roger won't be beeping any horn, because someone whacks him with a cartoon frying pan and drags him into an alley. Uh-oh.
  • The attacker's Jessica, who stows the floppy bunny in the trunk of the car.
  • Maroon is sweaty and on edge when Eddie enters the office.
  • Maroon snatches the will from Eddie's pocket, but it turns out to be Roger's love letter to Jessica.
  • Upset, Maroon pulls a gun on Eddie, but Eddie squirts him with seltzer and disarms him. As much as Eddie hates Toons, he's learned a few tricks from the cartoons.
  • Maroon says he engaged in blackmail to save Toontown, because without the will, Toontown could be destroyed.
  • Before he can elaborate, someone shoots Maroon with a real gun from the window. Now he's real dead.
  • Eddie looks out the window and sees Jessica fleeing the scene. The chase is on!
