will grayson
- Meanwhile, will grayson is kind of falling apart. Tiny won't talk to him and now that they've stopped texting, will sort of suspects that no one cares about him.
- Well, except for Gideon.
- will also still isn't talking to Maura, though he always tries to keep himself together in front of her so she won't see him freaking out.
- will's mom is trying to help, too. She even hid the beautiful glass bowl that Tiny brought her so will won't feel sad. Nice move, Mom.
- One night, will has an idea. He types the other Will Grayson's name into IM and starts messaging with him—maybe he'll understand a little of what's going on. Or maybe Will can at least fill him in on how Tiny is doing.
- So they talk. will asks how Tiny is doing, and Will says he's nervous; will asks whether Tiny knows that will is sorry, and Will says maybe.
- will tells Will that he is sorry—he wishes life wasn't trial and error all the time. will feels like everything is coming up errors lately.
- Will doesn't quite agree, though. Life is more like try-error-try. You have to keep going forward in order to find love and all that good stuff.
- Will asks will if he's going to be at the play tomorrow. will's not sure it's such a good idea, but says maybe—maybe it's an error, but maybe it's the thing that will lead to happiness. Neither Will knows for sure.
- The next morning, will's mom notices that he's feeling pretty awful. They talk and his mom says that sometimes you just have to let the anger out; you can't keep it all bottled inside. Oh, and will should totally go to Tiny's play. And talk to Maura.
- At school, will has to think about all this. Maybe his mom is right. Did he really give Tiny and Maura a chance? Should he?
- When he talks to Gideon, he agrees: will should go to the play. Gideon will even drive him there. Nice. Gideon also thinks he should talk to Maura.
- will decides that everyone is right. It's not like he wants to be friends with Maura again, it's just that he doesn't want to have to carry around all the bad feelings he has toward her anymore.
- will heads over to talk to Maura and lets her know how he's feeling. What she did was awful, but he realizes he was awful, too. He should have just been honest with her about not wanting to date her or be her best friend.
- Maura tells will that he didn't mind her much when he thought she was Isaac.
- Yeah, but that was a lie, will says.
- Oh, there's no such thing as a lie, Maura tells him.
- Maybe… But will doesn't want to love a lie. He wants to love someone who's real and honest and exists and accepts him for who he is. Is that so awful?
- During the car ride to Tiny's play, will and Gideon start talking. will wishes he could tell Tiny the truth—no, he doesn't want to date him, but he thinks he's great.
- Just then, Gideon has an idea, and even though it's kind of weird, will has to admit it's pretty darn perfect, too.
