Will Grayson
- Nothing much happens to Will for a week, and then, on Thursday night, Tiny calls Will and tells him that he should really come to the next Gay-Straight Alliance meeting.
- Will is sort of opposed to extra-curricular activities, but Tiny tells him that they need to get their attendance numbers up so the group can get more funding. If they don't have money, then the group won't be able to finance their production of Tiny Dancer, a musical written by Tiny that's also his life story.
- Will isn't sure that a Tiny-based musical is such a swell idea, but he agrees to come anyway, mostly because it's tough to say no to Tiny Cooper.
- A little bit later, Will gets a friend request and a message from Jane. The conversation starts to turn a little flirty, which sort of freaks Will out. Remember his rule about not caring? Caring only leads to weeping and heartbreak and huge freak-outs.
- The next day after school, Will makes an appearance at the Gay-Straight Alliance meeting. When he sees Jane there it becomes clear that Tiny has an ulterior motive—he's trying to get Will and Jane together. Will is so not into relationships.
- After a minute, Gary and his boyfriend, Nick, come into the room along with some other kids and Mr. Fortson, their faculty adviser.
- Will figures out pretty quickly that Gary and Nick have broken up, though, mostly because Nick is into Tiny. Oh, the drama.
- Mr. Fortson calls the meeting to order and asks the group to vote on whether or not they should ask for funding for Tiny Dancer. Gary doesn't much like the idea, but Jane is all for it.
- Then Gary points out that Jane's not actually gay, so she really doesn't know what she's talking about. Mr. Fortson is trying to smooth over this conflict when Tiny interrupts to loudly suggest that Jane should go out with Will because Will thinks she's cute.
- Oh man. The mortification never ends when you're Tiny Cooper's best friend.
- Will and Jane don't say anything for the rest of the meeting, but the group finally decides to go ahead with Tiny Dancer.
- Afterward, Tiny tracks Will down at his locker. Will is ticked, but Tiny is in good spirits. Jane totally likes Will—she just confirmed it to him after the meeting. Squee!
- This is good and bad news for Will. Does he kind of like Jane? Yeah. But is all the relationship drama and the eventual heartbreak worth a few moments of make out joy? No, no it is not.
- Tiny doesn't understand, but thankfully he moves onto other subjects. Like Nick, who really likes him. Will doesn't think this is such a good idea since Gary and Nick just broke up yesterday and Gary is Tiny's friend.
- But Nick and Tiny are totally going to go see a band on Friday. That's fine, right? Will should come with them—except the bar is for over twenty-one, too. Bummer.
- Ah, but Tiny has a plan (because Tiny always has a plan). Tiny calls Jane and tells her that she needs to take Will to get a fake ID. Before Will can figure out a way to kill him, Tiny skips away.
- Jane shows up a few minutes later and Will can't really do much but get in the car and go with her.
- They talk about music for a few minutes before Jane pulls over and tries to kiss Will. Oh man.
- Will is totally mortified and so is Jane when she realizes that Will isn't into her—or at least isn't into relationships. Awkward. They agree to forget this whole thing.
- Jane finally parks near a copy store and they go inside. There, they meet a heavily-tattooed stoner named Paulie who can make Will a "replacement" ID for about a hundred bucks.
- So Will and Jane make up a whole new identity: Will is now Ishmael J. Biafra and he just turned twenty-two last month. Nice.
- Jane shows Will her fake ID while they wait and Will tells her that the picture is really good. He realizes that he does sort of like her, but also wants to keep his distance. This love thing is so confusing.
- Afterward, Jane starts skipping down the street and shouts for Will to join her—he is a man now, after all. Will figures why not.
