Exactly how steamy is this story?

At fifteen years old, Laurel is due for her first kiss. And kissing is just about all that happens in this book. Her mom reminds her that it's easy for young people to slip up, lose control, and face unexpected consequences (read: pregnancy), but sexy-times never manifest in the book. Which is probably a good thing, since we're not sure whether we think Laurel should hook up with David or Tamani (or join a hippie commune where she could be with them both).
