At the bachelorette party, Rachel mistakenly describes Nick as a "total catch," prompting some sinister pranks from Francesca Shaw (2.11.28). Not only does Rachel find a gutted and bloody fish in her satchel, but a nasty message has been written in blood over her mirror, telling her to "CATCH THIS, YOU GOLD-DIGGING […]!" (2.11.82).
Okay, Francesca, that seems a little on the nose, no?
To belabor the point, at Eleanor's dinner the next week, Francesca continues to talk about "tourists" "catching" "endangered fish" and needing to "respect the environment" (2.18.69-2.18.71). We get it, Francesca, you think Rachel needs to step off. Super subtle.
