Weirdly enough, the Guide/Mentor spot might be taken by the same nebulous entity that inhabits the Antagonist spot: the English class system. What guides Stevens is his unwavering sense of duty, and dignity, as a butler. Unfortunately, it doesn't guide him in a benevolent Obi Wan Kenobi way… it guides him straight into the heart of Repressionsville, the seat of Crushed Dreams County.
