You can't have a story about abuse and rehab without having something to abuse and get rehabilitated from. What would Trainspotting be without heroin? Or Requiem for a Dream without diet pills and heroin? Or A Million Little Pieces without booze, pot, cocaine, crack, meth, heroin, and everything in between?
A Million Little Pieces is less about abuse side of things and more about the recovery side, but that doesn't mean we don't get flashbacks, withdrawal dreams, and fantasies about heading back over to the dark side of drug abuse.
