Character Analysis
Marigold is the long-established mistress of Roger Saxe—and the woman who'll inherit Priscilla Saxe's marriage, house, and husband after Priscilla is dead and gone. At thirty years old, Marigold is at least twenty years younger than her husband-to-be, but, unlike Julian Baffin, she seems old enough and experienced enough to know what she wants.
Here's one impressive thing about her: she's a dentist. Since she's a professional woman who seems to have a fair bit of independence, here's hoping that her marriage to Roger ends more happily than Priscilla's did.
