Burn Theme of Lies and Deceit

The Dome is built on a foundation of lies (and probably concrete). After all, it was created by Ellery Willux, who lied big-time about the Detonations.

This one lie pretty much overtakes the lives of the Pures; it manipulates them, strips them of power, and even corrupts their minds into thinking the lie is a truth. Partridge attempts to expose this big lie, but that ends up in disaster. This bring us to the central question of Burn: when is it right to tell the truth, and when is it right to lie?

Questions About Lies and Deceit

  1. Is Willux's lie a noble lie?
  2. Should Partridge have lied in his eulogy?
  3. What lie is the worst lie in this trilogy?
