Exactly how steamy is this story?

The book flashes back and forth between Noah and Jude at ages 14 and 16. You can guess what that means: the hormones are flying fast and furious. The book follows both characters through a lot of sexual—but rarely sexy—situations.
Noah is a virgin, but between his fantasy life and his anxiety about being gay, he thinks about sex pretty much constantly. For her part, Jude tries not to think about sex. (Her first time was a bad experience with an older guy that she just wants to forget.)
All in all, there's a whole lot of fraught fooling around (or thinking about fooling around), with one or two genuinely steamy scenes. And the nude art classes. How could you forget the nude art classes.
