- The next morning, Jim feels like he's been run over by a train. Worst hangover ever.
- Things get a lot worse when he realizes that he's burned a huge hole through the sheets on his bed.
- He realizes that he must have fallen asleep with a lit cigarette in his mouth. He's also burned the bedside table and the expensive looking rug next to the bed. Good work, Jim.
- Panicking, Jim looks for a way to hide what he's done. He takes out a razor and cuts off the edges of the holes in the bed sheets so that no one could tell the sheets were burned.
- He runs downstairs and sees Christine Callaghan. Desperate, he asks her to help him hide what he's done, and she (surprisingly) agrees.
- The two of them run back upstairs, and Christine helps him remake the bed so that the holes aren't showing. Next, she helps him rearrange the rug and take the bedside table to the end of the hallway, shoving it in a room full of junk.
- But just when it looks like they're home free, Margaret steps out of her bedroom and sees them together.
