Llewellyn Moss

Llewellyn Moss might not be perfect, but he's the guy we're supposed to root for in this movie. Yes, he's just a regular Texan who has stumbled across some drug money. But you have to admit that he's pretty tough and resourceful for a regular Joe. The dude fought in Vietnam and he knows his way around a sawed-off shotgun.

Any lesser man probably would die within ten minutes of running into Anton Chigurh, and even Carson Wells is impressed to learn that Moss has seen Chigurh and lived to tell the tale. It is deeply disappointing for many viewers that Moss dies off-screen. But that's all part of the Coen brother's big plan: they want us to feel underwhelmed and to leave the movie asking what it's all supposed to mean.
