Character Analysis
This "cockney knight" kidnaps Guenever because he's in love with her. He's basically a plot device to get Guen and Lance back together after Lancelot gets all holy and refuses to get in on with the Queen after he returns from the Grail Quest.
Guenever regards Meliagrance as "vulgar," but is flattered that he went to the trouble of kidnapping her (c'mon, Guen. You're better than that). He's a big coward, and gives up the kidnapping plan as soon as he learns Lancelot is on his way. Lancelot, for all intents and purposes, murders him after he asks for mercy in their dual because he and Guenever are afraid Meliagrance won't keep his mouth shut about their relationship.
