Love Interest
Character Role Analysis
Alicia Burns
She loves me, she loves me not. Sam spends a considerable amount of time in the book thinking about Alicia. It all starts when he meets her at a party and instantly falls in love with her. She's drop-dead gorgeous, after all, and pretty soon, he hardly comes up for air. Sam spends every waking moment with Alicia—and then he becomes sick of her just as quickly as he fell for her in the first place. It's clear she helps shape the events of the book as Sam navigates this crazy, stupid thing called love.
