Kelvin / Snow

Snow is mostly here to give Kelvin someone to talk to who isn't a projection of his own subconscious. This is maybe most clear when Snow calls Kelvin a "poor innocent" (5.74), and explains to him that there are worse things than being haunted by your dead ex-wife. Snow is apparently haunted by something worse… so Kelvin is the relatively normal one, and Snow is more haunted/desperate/weird/alien. It's another way of showing that Kelvin is the bland guy, which we knew—but it doesn't hurt to have the foil tell us so as well.
