The BFG is a book that was written for children. That’s why no curse words are spoken (except in BFG-language—“scumscrewer” be darned) and it’s also why the mean giants wear skirts around their waists. There is no love story of any kind either, and the one kiss in the book is a fatherly kiss on the cheek that the BFG gives Sophie. It’s the G-est of G’s—nothing to worry about here.
