Character Analysis

This dude's a piece of work.

From his turquoise-blazers to his turquoise bathrobes, we hate this guy. He wants total control. He sees his wife Thelma as household accessory rather than as a human being. He treats her like a child, he's hotheaded and moronic, he thinks he's the best at everything…he's seriously the worst. In fact, the first time Thelma sleeps with someone other than Darryl, she mentions that was the first time she had sex that wasn't absolutely disgusting.

From start to finish, Darryl puts the emphasis on the first syllable of his last name Dickinson. And everyone knows it but him.
