Character Analysis
The three women take their names from various Dublin public figures. Bellingham was a politician, Bellingham was a lieutenant in the Royal Scots Guards, and Talboys was a baronetcy that became extinct in 1560 when it had to pass into the female line. In "Circe," all of the women denounce Bloom for making lewd approaches on them and sending them illicit letters. He, of course, denies it, but they are all quite adamant.
