Reuben J. Dodd

Character Analysis

Dodd is a notoriously stingy legal accountant in Dublin. In "Hades," Simon Dedalus calls out to him from the carriage on the way to Dignam's funeral. They all deride his Jewishness. Later, in "Sirens," Cowley complains of his debts to Dodd. Dodd appears briefly as an Antichrist figure in one of the dreamscapes in "Circe."
