Arlene Grayson

Arlene Grayson seems like just another ritzy rich woman who's never known any hardship in her life, but she's actually from a Jewish family, and as such, has seen so many loved ones die and been thrown out of places (like the hotel) just by virtue of her heritage. Because of this, she is able to teach Evie about prejudice and bigotry. Through knowing Arlene Grayson, Evie understands her place in the world—and how she must work to make it more a more accommodating and fair place for everyone.
