Roger Rabbit is a PG-rated movie. All of the violence in it is nothing you wouldn't see during a typical Warner Bros. cartoon. It's violence that, if it were to happen to a human, would be insanely gory and disturbing. But when it happens to cartoons—or humans in a cartoon world—it's hilarious.

Except for one scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which is one of the most disturbing you will ever witness. Forget Hostel or The Human Centipede. The scene that will be seared onto your retinas for the rest of your life is in this colorful movie that is rated PG: "Parental Guidance Suggested."

That's the scene where Judge Doom dissolves a helpless cartoon shoe in a vat of Dip. Imagine watching a small puppy being dissolved in hydrochloric acid. That's what this scene is like. The shoe is so cute, so squeaky, so happy, and so innocent…yet Judge Doom, with his creepy unblinking eyes, executes it in cold blood in one of the most painful ways imaginable.

Parental Guidance Suggested? Suggested? We're so scarred by this scene that we regularly pet our shoes and reassure them that we won't let anything like this ever happen to them.
