Dorothy Gale/The Wicked of the West

Dorothy and the wicked witch are opposites in almost every way. Where the witch is cruel and conniving, Dorothy is sweet and innocent. The witch is murderous—she tries, and fails, to kill Dorothy more than once. Dorothy, for her part, wouldn't hurt a fly, but she still ends up defeating the witch (if only by accident). In celebration, Dorothy reverses almost every awful thing the witch has ever done. She frees the Winkies (who the witch had enslaved for years), resuscitates her friends (who the witch had more or less killed), and uses the Winged Monkeys for good, eventually freeing them by way of giving the Golden Cap to Glinda.

The Wizard of Oz is supposed to be the most powerful man in all the land, but as it turns out, he's just a regular dude from Nebraska. The four witches of Oz, on the other hand, can do legit magic. Girl power!
